BISS NZ Ch Polar Blazin Aces at Kimskaya
BEST IN SHOW
NZ Bred Dog
1st - Ch Polar Blazin Aces at Kimskaya (Magnus)
I placed this class NZ Bred Dogs as you see them. This first dog is clearly the best moving dog of the 2 and shows very nice balance and length of leg, nice coat. A very good dog all the way though out.. The 2nd dog I concede has a very nice head, gorgeous type and excellent pigment, good coat but not quite up to the first one from the stand point of down and back.
Best Dog - Ch Polar Blazin Aces at Kimskaya (Magnus)
During the Best Dog I had 3 very good specimens but 2 I thought were truly outstanding. Both dogs capable of winning almost any place in the world. The difference basically was to me the strength of the side gait on the Best Dog ..Other dog very clean down and back, very excellent type, maybe even a shade better head that I like, but I am a sucker for the side gait. Excellent dogs a beautiful pair I would be proud to own them any place in the world.
BEST IN SHOW - Ch Polar Blazin Aces at Kimskaya (Magnus)
I did Best In Show giving it to the male. Seldom have I had so much trouble making up my mind as I did between the male and the female. Both extremely nice. I tried to think at the end now how would I change either one of these if I was going to make them a little better and I had a hard time. These are both excellent representative of their breed. As I said I like them both. I gave the advantage to the male because of his strength going around. The bitch is truly lovely as well. A tough decision.
Silvertips Secret Sensation – Lexi
BABY PUPPY IN SHOW
1st - Silvertips Secret Sensation (Magnus)
I have a gorgeous little puppy 4 mths old. She has a very nice down and back, she’s good on the side. She is showing good type all around. I would just like to see her eye a little more, just a little roundish for me but outside of that I just can’t fault his little girl. She’s very good.
Ch Sever The Celtic Warrior (Imp Aust) – Tor
STUD DOG IN SHOW
1st - Ch Sever The Celtic Warrior (Imp Aust) (Magnus)
In this Stud Dog class we have 3 very nice dogs with good type throughout and reasonably good dogs. The 1st is leading the 3 because he had easily the best reach and drive and is a very nice dog going away. The 2nd dog follows the 1st one type quite closely but not quite the reach and drive. The 3rd dog I placed as not as clean going away and down and back, but again a very attractive and good Samoyed type.
NZ/AU Ch Kimskaya So Saintly – Saint
VETERAN IN SHOW
1st - NZ/AU Ch Kimskaya So Saintly (Magnus)
I placed this good class of Veterans 1, 2 as you see. Both males holding their age very nicely and moving pretty well. The 1st dog I liked his head a little better than the 2nd and a little stronger moving around the side and that is the basis difference in the 2. Both very nice coated dog and both very nice heads.

Caspa makes the Newspaper!

The Advocate Newspaper Article~ Wednesday 24th October 2007
Be it their fluffy white fur, smiling face or gentle nature Samoyeds am hard to resist.
East Devonport Samoyed breeder Debbie Clark took four dogs to the Royal Launceston Show last weekend.
She didn't expect to win Best State Bred Dog in Show but Filipino judge Mario Magsaysay named her nine-year old Samoyed Caspa exactly that.
Caspa beat various types of dogs bred in Tasmania including Boxers, Dobermans and Saint Bernards.
"However breeding is somewhat of dying hobby in Tasmania," Ms Clark said.
"Not many people are breeding on the North West Coast and even in Tasmania" Ms Clark said
Showing competitions are also lacking a little lately. especially following the tail docking ban."
The pressure to perform is as much on the dog as the owner, Ms Clark said
"I really enjoy It and I've been i doing it for 30 years"
"While it isn't stressful, it is competitive."
"You certainly don't groom your dog to come second. The dog had to be part of the team as well" she said
"They have to be in prime peak health and condition, have their coat brushed and pure white, they have to stand with their ears up, smile, not fidget and their feet must be still."
After a two year absence from the show circuit Caspa performed exceptionally.
"He's got such a beautiful head, a lovely coat which is the proper quality, and his conformation is just beautiful. He simply floats around the ring. Mind you Samoyeds are hard to resist at the best of times"
